Start The New Year Off Right!

by Grant Broggi

Happy New Year!

Christmas is officially over and the New Year has arrived. You’ve probably been traveling, enjoying some time off with family and friends, and maybe even eating more and working out less than you’d like to admit.

On one hand, you’ve had the time of your life. You are wishing everyday was a day between Christmas and the New Year.On the other hand, you’ve been getting bombarded with fitness promos and you’re starting to think about your own fitness goals and wondering when it’s time to rein it in and get back to work.

Well, first off… I hope you have enjoyed this holiday season and had quality time with your family.

At the same time, you should by all means start the New Year off on the right foot! And not just start it there, finish it there!Make this the year that you finally get in the best shape of your life. Stronger and fitter than you’ve ever been.

The truth of the matter is, being strong and getting in shape is actually very simple. I wish I could give you an excuse and tell you it is some complicated process, but at the end of the day it requires two things: consistency and discipline. That’s why this year I’m encouraging to star the year by achieving both of those. Regardless of how you train, where you train, or what you do in the gym you can start the year off with some strong habits.

  • Workout 3x/week (resistance training)
  • Walk 10k steps a day
That’s it. Do that for the month of January and I promise you’ll be on your way to a better year. Will it achieve all your fitness goals, probably not but it will get you well on your way! As always if you need any coaching help, or someone to hold you accountable then we are here!
We’ve outlined some of the benefits of adding walking into your lifting regimen in this week’s video. Whether you’re looking to lose weight or get stronger than you’ve ever been… it’s worth the watch.
So don’t wait. Start walking. Start Lifting. Build strong habits. Get in shape and stay in shape. You’ll be glad you did.
