Veteran’s Day And 245th Marine Corps Birthday

Grant Broggi, SSC

As many of you know I first found barbells and began coaching as a new Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. A stronger Marine is a more durable Marine and barbells seemed like the most efficient way to get strong. So we began training.

I had no idea what I was doing at the time as a coach, but we did it anyway and many Marines got really strong. I’m always thankful for those guys, and I think about the time we spent together at the barbell, preparing for deployment or whatever the Marine Corps needed of us.

As you all know this past week was the birthday of the Marine Corps as well as Veteran’s Day. It’s a special week for all Americans as we are thankful for those that have put on the uniform and defended our republic.

Last November, our team of coaches went to Twenty-Nine Palms to hold a barbell clinic for about 75 Marines. We have a few more visits planned that have been delayed for obvious reasons but we look forward to training more Marines soon.

I’m glad that The Strength Co. has been able to have an impact on Marines and other service members and help them get strong. I’m also thankful for a team of coaches that are fired up about giving back to our community.
